Tomato Perugu pachadi is one dish which loved by every one in the family and very easy to be prepared when you run out of choices...when ever I serve this on the table ,it gets runs out fast as its favorite and perfect substitute of curd ,,if u are tired or bored of eating the regular plain curd. So, lets get in to cooking here goes the recipe
Ingredients
Tomatoes 4-5
Plain Curd one and half cup
coriander/kothimeer for garnish
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder to taste
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tbsp
Tadka/Tempering/Popu
Channa Dal/Senaga Pappu 1tsp
Mustard Seed/Avalu 1tsp
Jeera 1tsp
Hing Pinch
Dry Red chilli 1
Method
- Heat oil and add Chenna dal ,Mustard seeds,jeera ,redchilli and hing.
- Wash the tomatoes and cut them in to cubes.
- Heat oil in a wide pan add the cubed tomatoes and let them cook until it leaves water and becomes a paste.Keep it aside
- Beat curd until smooth.Add the tomato mixture to curd and add the turmeric ,salt and chilli powder mix it uniformly .
- Now,add the tempering to the curd. Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Yummy and tasty tomato perugu pachadi is ready to serve
